Plain-language summary

A short overview to help you read the document below. The full document is what applies.

  • Only adults hold accounts. You confirm you are the parent or legal guardian of each child profile, or that you have lawful authority to manage that child's information.
  • You review every potential match, you control all messaging, and you supervise any offline meeting.
  • We record the date, time, device information and the version of this agreement you accepted.

1. Who accepts this agreement

This agreement is accepted by every FamilyFriendFinder account holder. You must be an adult who is able to form a binding contract where you live.

“I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian of each child profile I create or manage on FamilyFriendFinder, or that I have lawful authority to manage that child's information.”

2. Your acknowledgements

By holding an account you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are responsible for your child's participation in anything arranged here.
  • You are responsible for reviewing potential matches before acting on them.
  • You will supervise any offline meeting, activity or playdate.
  • You will not allow a child to use your account or any other parent's account.
  • You will not permit unauthorized access to your account or share your password.
  • You will not use FamilyFriendFinder to seek inappropriate relationships with minors, and you understand that doing so may be reported to appropriate authorities.
  • You will immediately report suspicious behaviour rather than handling it alone.
  • You will not attempt to obtain unnecessary personal information about another family's child, such as a full legal name, school, address or date of birth.
  • You will not attempt to circumvent platform safety, privacy or messaging controls.
  • You will not publish a child's full legal name, school, home address or date of birth.

3. What FamilyFriendFinder is not

FamilyFriendFinder is a platform that facilitates introductions between parents and guardians. It is not a childcare provider, babysitting service, school, daycare, camp, therapist, social worker or guardian, and it does not supervise children.

4. Record of your acceptance

When you accept this agreement we record your account, the consent type, the version of this document, the exact wording identifier, the date and time, your jurisdiction where known, and your browser or device information. These records are kept as a permanent history; a later version does not erase an earlier acceptance.

5. Ending your participation

You can pause a child profile at any time, or delete your account from your Settings page. Deletion is described in the Privacy Policy.
