Safety Centre

Friendship should begin with trust.

We believe friendship should begin with trust, thoughtful introductions, and parents being in control.

Our safety principles

Parents are the users

Only parents and guardians hold accounts. Child profiles are created and managed entirely by a parent.

No child-to-child contact

All communication is parent to parent. Children cannot log in, search, message or be messaged.

Approximate locations only

Other families see a general area or distance range — never an address, exact distance or daily routine.

Schools stay private

School or homeschool status can help with matching, but the specific school is not publicly displayed by default.

Both parents must agree

An introduction request never opens a conversation on its own. The other parent may accept, decline, wait or block.

Privacy by default

Child-related fields start with conservative visibility, and every field is under the parent's control.

First-meeting guidance

  • Choose a public place such as a park, library, recreation centre or community centre.
  • Bring a parent or guardian and stay for the whole activity.
  • Keep the first meeting short and low-pressure.
  • Share only the contact details you are comfortable sharing.
  • Agree in advance on the activity, time and who will attend.
  • Trust your instincts — you can end a meeting or block a family at any time.

In an emergency

If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Then let us know through the report option or the contact page so we can review the account.
